Summary:

The focus for the Manager – Petrochemicals Commercial and Asset Optimization position is to develop new business and support the development of Petrochemicals, NGLs, and Refined Products growth projects.

Seeking a candidate with a proven track record of developing new projects and collaborating across business units to support business growth. Candidates should be capable of travel.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop pipeline transportation, storage, export and processing related projects in support of petrochemicals, NGLs, and Refined Products growth opportunities

    Collaborate with NGLs, Refined Products, Alternative Energy, Crude, and Natural Gas business groups in support of asset optimization initiatives

  • Develop economic models and business plans to support project development

  • Coordinate with engineering and construction organizations to develop capital estimates and project schedules

  • Prepares market intelligence and customer analysis
  • Tracks and evaluates economic conditions and advises on impact, enabling management decisions

    Promotion of Energy Transfer capabilities in the marketplace

  • Conduct duties in an ethical manner and model ethics and compliance behaviors for others

 

Requirements:

Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

     

  • Engineering degree preferred

     

  • 5+ years of experience in petrochemical, refining, or midstream industry

     

  • Proven track record of developing new projects in the energy, petrochemical, refining, or midstream space

     

  • Able to think creatively and apply new ideas to overcome objections and barriers

     

  • Works well on a team or as an individual

     

  • Excellent communication skills

     

  • Self-motivated and target driven

     

  • Experience influencing indirect reports to achieve business goals and objectives

     

  • Excellent analytical skills

     

  • Proficient computer skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)

     

  • Excellent communication skills - English (spoken & written)

     

 

 

Working Conditions:

 

  • The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

     

  • Usually, normal office working conditions.

     

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.

     

  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.

     

  • Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
