Sign Language Interpreter - School Setting

Soliant has an opening for a contracted School Sign Language Interpreter in the
Nunapitchuk, AK area. This position is for the 2023-2024 School Year. Soliant offers Weekly Pay, guaranteed hours, and an exceptional Health Benefits & 401k package.

Job Details:

• Full-Time
• Onsite
• 1:1 with 5th grade student

Qualifications:

• EIPA Score 4.0 + OR National Interpreter Certification from the RID
• pleted and passed EIPA written test
• School Based experience not required but preferred.

Skills & Abilities:

• Interpret spoken language into American Sign Language and vice versa for Deaf or hard-of-hearing students
• Provide support in classroom settings, meetings, and other school activities to ensure effective munication
• Foster a positive learning environment for Deaf or hard-of-hearing students by facilitating munication and understanding
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure the educational needs of the students are met
