Description:

  • Role: Vashon Island School District is seeking School Psychologists for the duration of the school year, with the possibility of renewal for the 2024-2025 school year.
  • Start Date: Positions available starting on August 28, 2024, and continuing through June 20, 2025.
  • Hours: Full-time positions requiring a mitment of 37.5 hours per week.
  • Caseload Options: Positions primarily focused on serving elementary students.
  • Primary Duties:
    • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students' educational needs, strengths, and areas for growth.
    • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other stakeholders to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students receiving special education services.
    • Provide counseling and support services to students to address social, emotional, and behavioral concerns.
    • Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team meetings, and other school-based meetings to support student success.
