Overview: Soliant, in collaboration with respected school districts in Opelousas, LA, is currently seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) for a contract position. The chosen candidate will play a vital role in providing occupational therapy services to students, promoting their functional independence and participation in school activities.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to evaluate students' fine motor skills, sensory processing, and activities of daily living.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' occupational therapy needs.
• Provide direct therapy services to students, either individually or in group settings, to enhance their functional abilities.
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support students' academic and social success.
• Maintain accurate documentation of assessment results, treatment plans, and progress notes.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Valid Louisiana state license or eligibility for licensure.
• Minimum of one year of recent experience working as an Occupational Therapist in a school setting.
• Proficiency in conducting assessments and developing intervention plans to address various occupational therapy needs.
• Strong interpersonal and munication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
