What You'll Do
    • Interact professionally and timely with clients via email, phone and in-person
    • Prepare RFP for all ASO and fully insured submissions to market
    • Collect, manage, and review proposals
    • Update marketing results into spreadsheet ensuring accuracies, to be used internally and in client presentation
    • Review department to assist with marketing template updates, RFP submissions, collection and management of data, along with individual review of complex marketing
    • Review department BOB to include review of renewals for fully insured, TPA, stop loss, PBM coverages, cost, and contract terms to ensure standards are met, determines trends, sets expectation and provide communications internally and externally
    • Initiate review of all fully insured, ASO, stop Loss, plans, cost, and contract terms
    • Provide recommendations to Account Executive and present to client
    • Negotiate with carriers based on the targeted goals from Account Executive
    • Maintain ongoing relationship with carrier and vendor partners
    • Prepare and reviews benchmarking, contribution, disruption, network, stop loss deductible and GeoAccess analysis to include fully insured vs. self-funded analysis provided to Account Executive
    • Provide underwriting of all medical/Rx, dental, vision, life and disability plans and provides IBNR to client
    • Analyze data for inconsistencies and trends, providing recommendations to Account Executive
    • Provide a written and oral summary of findings to client
    • Build and customize reports to fit client needs
    • Prepare client presentation and presents in front of client
    • Lead client presentation of financial discussions
    • Train and review technical work, provide mentorship to analyst, and supports trainings within department
    • Support Account Executive and Producers when solicitating new business
    • Identify opportunities to create efficiencies and best practices
    • Support and demonstrate IMA's core values
    • Value and understand the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion among all IMA associates
You Should Have:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience as an Analyst, Account Manager, or similar role in the employee benefits brokerage industry for 3+ years required
  • Previous experience working with clients in the Union/Public Labor sector strongly desired
  • Attain and maintain applicable state Life and Health License in accordance with IMA standards
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite required
  • Strong understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements, such as ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, etc. required
  • In-depth knowledge of employee benefits programs, insurance products, and industry trends
  • Exceptional client service orientation with a focus on building long-term relationships
  • Demonstrate a genuine passion for acquiring new knowledge and skills, staying abreast of industry advancements and best practices
  • Proven ability to set ambitious yet achievable goals, and consistently work towards their attainment
  • Capable of prioritizing tasks effectively and managing multiple client and responsibilities concurrently
  • Able to work collaboratively with colleagues, supervisors, and external partners to set goals, exchange ideas, and drive results
  • Willingness to embrace change, adjust goals as needed, and learn from setbacks to continually improve performance
  • Possess the drive to pursue personal development opportunities independently, while adhering to established timelines and objectives
