The School of Education - Center For Sensory & Complex Disabilities needs to hire one YES LEAD SUPPORT SPECIAIST for working with the graduates of Summer Transition program 2023 during 3.15.2024 through 6.30.2024. The YES Lead Support Specialist is the Point Person/Coordinator for the whole group of (up to 10) YES consumers and YES staff. The YES LSS will coordinate with the YES Workshop Presenters, Consumers, YES Consumer Support Specialists, and YES Employment Coordinator. YES LSS will create a schedule of meetings, monitor/update the Google Classroom calendar, create virtual meeting links, communicate meeting information with consumers and staff, and facilitate virtual gatherings with YES Workshop presenters. The YES LSS will implement one icebreaker or PCP activity at the start of each meeting, and review/edit completed program deliverables for all consumers at the end of the cycle.  

Main Responsibilities: 

  • Sole preparation of lessons and activities for the participants on a regular basis      
  •  Collaboration and delegation to hired staff as needed to support assigned participants    
  • Support in person and remote sessions as required to participants     
  • Liason between hired staff and YES Employment Specialist      
  • Assists contribution to the deliverables written into the approved MOA         
  • Required Qualifications: 

  • Several Years of experience working in Transition programs under CSCD programming 
  • Bachelors Degree or higher
  • Demonstrated ability to…plan, create and communicate knowledge of Transition methods and policies
  • Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Knowledge base and understanding of the past participants from the program 
  • Experience with documentation and follow up skills
