Job Description
Classification Title:
Core Research Facility Technician III
Job Description:
Directly supervise and manage staff to achieve the daily workload goals including enrollment,
collection kit creation, specimen receipt, processing, aliquoting, triage, shipping and archival.
Set goals and expectations, and motivate their employees to achieve their best. This includes setting
priorities, delegating tasks, and ensuring that deadlines are met.
Interact directly with sponsors as needed to resolve all issues.
Maintain all reporting system functions through the daily transfer of data to sponsor data systems.
Timely procurement of supplies needed to maintain the service goals of unit.
Provide workflow analysis to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the operation.
Ensure that service goals are met using audit tools functionality of the UFDiab_SYS database.
Responsible for documenting processes and GLP into Standard Operating Procedures.
Oversee the training and compliance of staff to SOP, Good -Clinical Research Practices (GCP), and
GLP.
Provide cost analysis for services offered or services to be developed.
Expected Salary:
$53,000 - $63,000
Minimum Requirements:
BA/BS in related scientific field required with hands-on experience in basic laboratory and scientific methods. Optionally, 4 years of experience in science related field with at least 3 years in core specific applications. Research-based experience preferred. Core or technology specific licensure and/or certifications where applicable. Additionally yearly certificate and compliance training if required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in laboratory environment highly preferred.
Analytical ability to assist in the development of standard operating procedures
Organizational skills to maintain the flow of laboratory processes.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to oversee laboratory projects.
