Coach Position

We Rock The Spectrum - Columbus, OH is searching for qualified Part Time staff to join our team. We have fun occupational therapy equipment that’s designed for all kids to use and enjoy. We will offer open play, respite and break time care, in-bound field trips, structured classes/camps, birthday parties and special events. Our fast-paced environment needs motivated, energetic, and reliable team members who will interact with children of all abilities and develop fun activities for them to experience during their time at the gym.

Our team will be fully trained by management to know our services, packages, and amenities, work our MindBody software, and have full knowledge of each piece of equipment in the gym and know what to recommend when seeing a child having difficulty.

Applicants should have a strong interest in Early Childhood and Recreation, Primary Education, Allied Health Professionals and/or an interest in gaining experience working with children with special needs.

Duties will include the following: Supervising gym activities, Front Desk Check In/Retail, Arts & Crafts support, Assist B-day Parties/Special Events. Maintain a clean environment and help gym meet all safety protocols.

Competitive Hourly wage with potential to earn tips during weekend work/birthday parties.5 to 25 hours per week/end. First Aid and CPR Certification Preferred. Background Checks will be required.

We Rock the Spectrum – Columbus, OH was founded to provide a place for children of all ability levels to play and grow together. As the only kid’s gym that offers an inclusive philosophy, we have found all children can benefit from our uniquely designed sensory equipment that is specifically designed to aid children with sensory processing disorders. However, in our experience, all children are able to benefit greatly from this equipment and by allowing children of all ability levels to play together they are able to learn a great deal from each other and become the best motivation for success on every level.

The staff at We Rock the Spectrum – Columbus, OH are comprised of the most caring, understanding, and energetic people around. We have a host of staffers and volunteers who come to us in order to assist our gym and its goal of aiding children with special needs in growing beyond the expectations of doctors and therapists. Often a therapist for a child with special needs will attend the gym with the children in order to observe and provide their therapy while using the equipment in our gym. This allows kids the access they want to the amazing equipment while the therapist is able to take advantage of the support and availability of the staff and equipment which might not be present in other settings.
