After School Camps are Monday through Thursday – approximately 3:30 pm – 7:00 pm

Summer Camps are Monday through Friday – 7:30 am to 6:00 pm - hours may vary.

Pay: $15.00 per hour

15 to 40 hours depending on the time of year.

The Grove Academy launched their first day camp is summer of 2016. Thanks to many partnerships formed in the community, we are able to offer four full weeks of camp every summer with two additional single-day camps offered during spring and winter school breaks. Each of our camps are themed with unique and exciting experiences.

April 27, 2024 – mandatory training day 10:00 am – 3:00 pm

Camp Schedule:

  • April 13, 2024
  • June 3 – 7, 2024
  • June 17 – 21, 2024
  • July 1 – 5, 2024 (camp does run on July 4, 2023)
  • July 15 – 19, 2024
  • July 29 – August 2, 2024
  • December 14, 2024

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the development of quality programs/camp curriculum in all day camp areas.
  • Responsible for various administrative tasks necessary for day camps to run efficiently, such as ordering supplies, coordinating schedules, and completing and maintaining accurate program and administrative records and necessary reports.
  • Responsible for knowing, understanding, training, and executing all camp policies and emergency procedures associated with the day camp.
  • Organize and lead a variety of small and large group activities each week. Activities may include: crafts, nature, songs, games, opening and closing ceremonies, swimming, archery, and kayaking.
  • Communicate with parents about participant’s experiences and report concerns.
  • 21 years of age or older
  • Experience in camp, youth programs, recreation, working with children, or in a related field preferred.
  • Complete First Aid and CPR certification (Part of new hire training)
  • Be able to restrain and physically support children when needed for safety in general day camp activities (child weighing 50 – 200 pounds).
  • Must have the ability to lead and participate in camp activities which include, but are not limited to: hiking, kayaking, swimming, team building, building campfires, physical games and activities
