We are currently seeking an entry level civil engineer for roadway engineering in our Richmond, Virginia office.

The Roadway Engineer will participate in the planning and design on transportation related projects. The primary duties will be to support senior engineers in a variety of tasks in the field of roadway design. Responsibilities will include performing roadway design, field investigations, preparation of construction plans, specifications, cost estimates, and the development of technical reports.

Requirements:

Applicants must possess the following:

  • Civil Engineering Major or recent graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology
  • Ability to effectively communicate orally/written at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments
  • Experience with design software tools such as MicroStation preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred
