We are hiring a Project Office Engineer for one of our projects in Puerto Rico.

Position Summary:

The Project Office Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the administration and documentation of a multi-bridge design-build project, providing day-to-day office functions, including:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performing inspections and preparing documents for the entire project.
  • Processing and electronic storage of all project records. Includes directing and tracking project reports and records.
  • Preparing project records with details such as field progress, field conditions, equipment use, and corrective actions.
  • Maintaining construction project records in accordance with procedures
  • Interfacing with the Resident Engineer/CM and inspection staff on various facets of the project
  • Attending project meetings and assisting with preparing meeting reports and meeting minutes.
  • Assisting with the preparation of monthly progress reports
  • Maintaining project logs
  • Performing reviews of daily inspection reports and quality computations
  • Corresponding with owner design and engineering teams and contractor

Education, Certifications, and Experience:

The qualifications for a Project Office Engineer include the following:

  • Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • EIT Certificate
  • Minimum of three (4) years of experience with construction inspection and management on infrastructure construction projects
  • 1 year serving as Project or Resident Engineer or Assistant Project or Resident Engineer on State or Federal highway or bridge construction projects.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of highway engineering principles, construction methods, traffic control, environmental compliance, surveying, equipment, trades, materials, schedules, and practices.

  • Proficiency in project management software
  • Knowledge of Aconex
  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to maintain accuracy while handling multiple requests in a fast-paced environment.
