JOB SUMMARY

Under limited supervision, the Project Engineer II is responsible for leading project planning, resourcing, staffing, progress reporting, people management, and troubleshooting for engineering projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Directs, coordinates, and functionally heads planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility.
  • Plans and formulates engineering program and organizes project staff according to project requirements.
  • Assigns project personnel to specific phases or aspects of project, such as technical studies, product design, preparation of specifications and technical plans, and product testing, in accordance with engineering disciplines of staff.
  • Prepares complex engineering designs and work specifications, and develops schedules, budgets and forecasts.
  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 5 to 7 years of experience required.
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
