This is a remote friendly, full-time position, available to U.S. residents based in the continental U.S. who are eligible to work for any employer without need for visa sponsorship or transfer.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, implement, and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models that adhere to business objectives and data governance standards.
  • Optimize data architectures to enhance operational and analytical performance and scalability.
  • Provide leadership and best practices to other team members as an individual contributor, deliver working solutions including data pipelines, worksheets, snowflake environments, Snow SQL, and Python automation code.
  • Ensure data integrity and quality by creating and implementing data governance and validation processes.
  • Responsible for maintaining and updating data models, working closely with the business team to understand requirements and provide guidance to the development team.
  • Work closely with data engineers and IT personnel to implement and refine data models within our data warehousing and business intelligence environments.

Requirements

Skills of interest include the following. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated some of these skills professionally, but not necessarily all.

  • 4+ years of experience as a Data Modeler with a background in data architecture and modeling projects within SDLC/Scaled agile delivery framework
  • Proficiency in data modeling tools and technologies, with a deep understanding of relational and non-relational database systems.
  • Proficiency in Snowflake database profiling, creating, advising, and reviewing data models for data warehousing and data mart areas.
  • Familiarity with data governance, data quality management, and data security practices.
  • Knowledge of SQL, NoSQL, ETL processes, and business intelligence platforms.
  • Experience with GraphDB, Oracle, and SQL coding
  • Proficiency in OLTP/3NF and dimensional/data mart modeling (star schema, snowflake)
  • Ability to design table structures with proper data analysis and mapping capabilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
