Job Summary:

The Operations Team Leader runs the paper operations floor during their shift. They coordinate and manage all print and scan project deadlines on the shift while communicating with the sales and service teams as necessary. The Operations Team Leader ensures projects are being completed without errors.


Hours:


  • Monday - Friday, 3:00pm - 11:00pm.

Supervisory/Responsibilities:


  • Works with Director of Operations to hire staff for shift.
  • Schedules, organizes, and assigns projects to direct reports.
  • Coach, train, and mentor direct reports.
  • Conducts performance evaluations on direct reports that are timely and constructive.
  • Follows and enforces all company policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Handles discipline as needed and in accordance with company policies.

Duties/Responsibilities:


  • Use job tickets to capture project information and determine best means for output.
  • Sets up and operates high speed copiers, printers, large format machines and scanners to produce client requested projects.
  • Manage deadlines to ensure all projects go out on time.
  • Operate finishing equipment which includes but not limited to cutters, laminators, and binding machines.
  • Properly track all job totals so billing can be accurate.
  • Quality control completed projects to ensure desired results are met, correcting any mistakes as needed.
  • Final check all completed projects before they leave the operations floor.
  • Point of contact on shift when rush projects come in.
  • Work with Director of Operations to orchestrate interoffice meetups as needed.
  • Communicate project issues with sales and service departments.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all client materials.
  • Other production tasks as assigned by Director of Operations.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Possess strong time management, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Strong computer skills
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications and Adobe products preferred.
  • Ability to operate a desktop computer, scanner and other common office equipment including copiers, printers, etc.
  • Ability to motivate and influence others.
  • Strong leadership qualities.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of a high school diploma, Associate's Degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years of management experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer or other office equipment.
  • Prolonged periods of standing in front of office equipment.
  • Must be able to lift to 50 pounds at times.
