Job Title: Office Coordinator-Technology Services

Department: Technology Services Division: University Operations & Services

Supervisor: Vice President of Technology Services Schedule: Reg., 12 mo., FT, M-F, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt IPEDS Classification: 13


Job Summary:

Coordinates Technology Services purchasing, inventory, billing and software licensing. Provides support for all projects in Technology Services.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Assists in software and hardware purchasing, coordination with other departments and outside vendors, communication, implementation, and documentation. Collect bids and quotes from vendors and completes the necessary procurement paperwork. Communicates purchase status updates. Maintains accurate purchasing history.
  • Manages all software licenses and contracts. Maintains accurate licensing inventory. Manages software maintenance renewals.
  • Maintains all technology inventory. Performs regular inventory and assist in rotation schedule. Works with Technology Services staff to keep inventory up to date.
  • Provides support for all projects in the Technology Services department.
  • Assist with resolving user support tickets and user communication.
  • Generates reports, compiles and organizes documentation related Technology Services.
  • Conducts research and remains current with the latest technologies
  • Assists in operations-related projects and project portfolio.

  • Proven track of providing excellent customer service.
  • Strong technical knowledge of PC’s, PC Operating Systems, PC Applications, and peripheral devices.
  • Ability to use logic to develop and maintain databases of information.

  • Ability to coordinate in order to streamline the support process.
  • Ability to use a PC, keyboard, mouse, modem, various printers, and to view a computer monitor to complete daily work.
  • Must be ethical in all matters pertaining to the copyright of computer software to ensure the legality and integrity of the campus.
  • Ability to relate well to co-workers, faculty and students.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills requiring ordinary courtesy and tact are necessary to communicate effectively with callers, students, and faculty to provide support.
  • Ability to key data quickly and accurately to efficiently use a computer for documentation, organization, and communication.
  • Ability to have a neat, professional appearance to maintain a positive image for Drury University
  • Ability to read and accurately communicate in writing in order to document requests from staff, faculty, and students as well as complete computer problem report forms
  • Verbal communication skills to in order to communicate within the department and with the Drury community
  • Ability to be discreet for maintaining the confidentiality of information
  • Ability to plan efficient work schedule and to manage time for completion of tasks
  • Ability to use numerical skills and calculator, prepare time sheets for payment, purchase orders, and so forth
  • Ability to proofread information for spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience in a similar position is preferred (equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate)
Supervisory Responsibilities:

May supervise student staff members. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
