Where: HFH Summer Camps are located an hour north of New York City, on the grounds of the 52,000-acre Harriman State Park. A lush preserve of woodland and lakes straddling New York’s Rockland and Orange counties, the park has over 200 miles of trails, 31 lakes and reservoirs, camping grounds, beaches, and an abundance of wildlife.

We are seeking upbeat and resourceful people for the positions of Camp EMT/Nurses/Paramedics.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assume responsibility for the health, safety and sanitation of the camp.
• Keep accurate daily records of all medical treatment administered at the camp infirmary in health record book.
• Review the medical record of each incoming camper.
• Compile a listing of those campers sent to camp with medication to be administered during their stay.
• Keep accurate Medical Administration Records sheets (MARs).
• Advise the camp director and instruct the staff on all matters relating to health education, sanitation, accident prevention and first aid in the camping situation.
• Maintain the camp infirmary and ongoing inventory. Requisition and replenish as needed all medical and first aid equipment and supplies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Desire to work in the outdoors from June 11th to August 9th 2024. Housing accommodation will be provided.
• EMT, Paramedic, Physician's Assistant, Registered Nurse, Nurse Practitioner or Doctor, with valid New York State License.
• Current ARC CPR for the Professional Rescuer preferred.
• ARC RTE (Responding to Emergencies) certification preferred.
• Knowledge of the residential camping operations preferred

2024 CAMP DATES:

• Tuesday June 11th: Administration & EMT’s Start Day
• Wednesday June 12th: Camp Power Start Day
• Friday June 14th: Lifeguards & Unit Leaders Start Day
• Tuesday June 18th: General Counselors & Activity Specialist Start Day
• Friday August 9th: Last Day for all Staff
