Our technology enables hard to decarbonize segments – such as trucks and buses – to move from diesel to cleaner fuel alternatives. We are looking for an ambitious and driven colleague that wants to work closely with our engineering team.


We are currently seeking a Production Engineer. This position will be based out of our Salisbury, NC office.

Overview:

Under the general supervision of the Production Engineering lead, the Production Engineer will lead change management activities to launch new products, support production, and perform engineering design.

Responsibilities:

Lead the launch of products in the manufacturing environment including:

Assess the change impact

  • Complete change management assessments
  • Identify, analyze, prepare risk mitigation tactics
  • Consult and coach project teams
  • Support communication efforts
  • Support training efforts
  • Coordinate efforts with multifunctional team
  • Integrate change management activities into project plan
  • Evaluate and ensure user readiness
  • Define and measure success metrics and monitor change progress
  • · Creates design concepts, determines nature and type of required detailed working drawings, and coordinate work with others.

· Uses required drafting and mechanical drawing skills, and knowledge of computer-assisted drafting CAD equipment and software.

· Verifies accuracy and completeness of drawings.

· May compile data, compute quantities, determine materials needed, and prepare cost estimates.

· Produce detailed technical drawings for mechanical and electrical assemblies and components

· Work closely as a team player as part of the engineering group and shop floor personnel

Education Experience

4-years degree in Engineering discipline

  • 0-5 years professional experience
  • 2-years minimum experience Creo/Pro-E or other CAD program

Skills and qualifications

Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools in a manufacturing environment

  • Exceptional communication skills – both written and verbal.
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships.
  • Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal.
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in dynamic situations.
  • Organized with a natural inclination for planning strategy and tactics.
  • Problem solving and root cause identification skills.
  • Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with others.
