Job Title: PMO Lead
Time Period: November 2023 – June 2025
Location:
Hybrid, with requirement to be onsite twice a week in Columbus, OH or Merrillville, IN
Pay Rate: $130 per hour

Scope of Services: As a PMO Lead, you will be a key driver in providing leadership and strategic oversight to the Project Management Office (PMO) within our organization. Your role is pivotal in ensuring that project management practices align with the organization's strategic goals and objectives. You will collaborate with executive leadership, project managers, and cross-functional teams to enhance project delivery efficiency, implement best practices, and maintain a high standard of project management excellence.


Role, Responsibilities, and Deliverables:

  • Leadership and Strategy:
    • Provide strategic direction to the PMO, aligning project management practices with organizational goals.
    • Collaborate with executive leadership to communicate project status, risks, and resource needs.
    • Develop and implement PMO policies, procedures, and methodologies.
  • Project Portfolio Management:
    • Oversee the project portfolio, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.
    • Conduct portfolio analysis and make recommendations for resource allocation.
  • Team Management:
    • Lead and mentor a team of project managers and PMO analysts.
    • Foster a culture of collaboration, excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Continuously assess and enhance project management processes.
    • Implement best practices to optimize project delivery.
  • Communication:
    • Facilitate effective communication within the PMO and with stakeholders.
    • Conduct Executive presentations
    • Present project updates and insights to executive leadership.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience (X years) in a leadership role within a Project Management Office.
  • In-depth understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to align project management with organizational strategy.
  • Experience in managing project portfolios and making data-driven decisions.
  • Relevant certifications (PMP, PRINCE2) are a plus.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
