Staff Accountant

Universal Technical Resource Services, Inc. (UTRS) is currently seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team! This position will report to the Controller. This position is located at our Cherry Hill Corporate office.

What will you be doing?

This position will be a key member of the Accounting team.  Duties include:

• Client invoicing and management of accounts receivable
• Review and post electronic timesheets weekly
• Assist with bi-weekly payroll processing
• Process employee expense reports and check for backup accuracy
• Support accounts payable activities
• Assist with cash receipts processing
• Assist with month end close including account reconciliations, preparation of general ledger entries, and updates to accounting schedules
• Maintain financial records

What skills will the ideal candidate have to be successful?

This position will require the following skillsets and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• Minimum 4 years recent experience, public accounting and governmental contracting experience a plus
• Detail-oriented and highly organized
• Ability to multi-task and process a high volume of transactions accurately
• Must work well under pressure of deadlines
• Ability to effectively communicate with internal departments and customers/vendors on accounting matters
• Experience with Deltek Costpoint and/or other accounting/ERP systems a plus
• Strong PC knowledge (especially Microsoft Office Suite)
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
