Job Description
Healthcare Staffing Professionals, Inc. is looking for a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant to work in a school setting. The role and function of the speech-language pathologist assistant. Under the supervision of licensed speech-language pathologists, you will assist in the development and implementation of therapy plans to help students improve their communication skills.
Pay Rate: $40-43/hr

Job Duties:
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct initial assessments and evaluations of students to determine speech and language disorders.
  • Therapy Sessions: Implement individualized therapy plans under the guidance of licensed speech-language pathologists.
  • Progress Tracking: Document student progress and collaborate with the supervising speech-language pathologist to modify therapy plans as needed.
  • Supportive Environment: Create a positive and supportive environment to engage students in the therapy process.
  • Communication: Regularly communicate with teachers, parents, and other relevant staff to provide updates on student progress and recommend strategies for in-class support.
  • Equipment Management: Maintain and organize speech therapy equipment and materials.
  • Professional Development: Stay current with best practices in speech-language therapy through ongoing professional development.
Qualifications:
  • Associate’s degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) from an accredited program.
  • State licensure or certification as required in the state.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Compassion and patience when working with students.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and reliable.
  • CPR and First Aid certification
