Salary: $60,000-70,000 annually

The Role

 

This role is intended to serve as a critical link between BlastOne Project Managers, Purchasing Department, and Finance Department, as well as monitoring and assigning various project costs to current, active, installation projects, and assuring that invoices are timey created, submitted, and paid. Actively engage with construction and engineering project managers to accurately reflect current project financial status.

• Keeping apprised of current project progress, and monitoring both open customer invoices (A/R), as well as future-due invoices. Assuring cash payments are accurately recorded against appropriate invoices/projects.
• Monitoring and validating costs that land against projects and recording accurately for financial visibility.
• Capturing freight-in and freight-out costs against projects, and invoicing accordingly.
• Assisting Finance Department with monthly revenue recognition accounting and calculations.
• Assisting Purchasing with timely procurement of required project materials, fulfillment against projects, and recording costs thereof. Verifying vendor invoices and assuring that invoices are recorded accurately against projects.
• Assisting with recording labor allocations, travel costs, and expense reports against projects.
• Weekly capture of cost of goods sold, as recorded in NetSuite accounting software, and accurately tying to various projects. Notifying Project Managers of cost discrepancies.
• Assist with various divisional and departmental reporting and forecasting as may be required by heads of departments.
• Responsible for updating and maintain the internal software that is utilized to record project status, costs, and forecasting.
• Assisting Finance Department with cash-in & cash-out requirements and forecasting (“cash flow”).

 

Required Skills/Qualifications

 

• Practical working knowledge of basic accounting, understanding of chart of accounts, debits/credits, and reviewing P&L statements is critical.
• Knowledge of Excel and Word
• Familiarity of commercial/industrial construction stages & terminology
• Working knowledge or experience with NetSuite accounting software beneficial
