Overview: 


As a Cabinet Maker you will assist in building Adventure trucks on the Global Expedition Vehicles' Production Team. You will take full ownership of ensuring to build quality products while being a team player and a superior brand ambassador of our reputation within our vibrant community of vanlifers, adventure seekers, and outdoor enthusiasts.  


General Responsibilities including such things as: 


  • Assembly and production of Adventure trucks with tasks specific to cabinetmaking and woodworking  including installation of various items such as cabinets, walls, plumbing fixtures, roof racks, wheels, appliances or electrical components to form assemblies or subassemblies, using hand tools, rivet guns, and other tools,
  • Accurately measure, mark, and cut lumber, panel products, including decorative laminates and solid surface materials,
  • Ensure implementation of safe and proper procedures of woodworking in accordance with local, state, and OSHA requirements,
  • Monitor the quality of components and clearly communicate to the supervisory or quality production team any issues,
  • Maintain supplies by checking stock, anticipating, and requesting supplies,
  • Support and adhere to all system and company procedures,
  • Contribute to the overall success of the production team by co-elevating  with all team members through collaboration, cooperation, and camaraderie,
  • All other duties as assigned. 


Work Schedule:


  • (4) 10-hour shifts:  Monday - Thursday 6:00am - 5:00pm with 1 hour for lunch


Work Location:


  • In Office, Springfield, Missouri (444 W Tampa St, Springfield, MO 65806)


Qualifications/Skills:


Aptitude for learning new things quickly, high level of attention to detail, good problem solver, strong communication skills, active listener, juggler of many tasks simultaneously well, patient, emotionally intelligent, and a team player.


Education and Experience: 


  • High school diploma or GED
  • Previous automotive assembly experience a plus  
  • 1 year of Cabinet Making knowledge is required 
  • Carpentry including experience using the following tools and machinery: table saw, staple gun, edge bander, belt sander, and other small tools
  • Construction experience a plus
  • Manufacturing experience a plus


Physical Requirements: 

 

  • The ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds
  • This job entails prolonged periods of standing and walking around the manufacturing floor
  • Precision and coordination are crucial for assembling intricate components and operating machinery. Employees must be capable of using hand and power tools with a steady hand
  • Assembly tasks may require reaching, stretching, and bending to access components, equipment, and workstations as well as the ability to stoop, kneel, or crouch is necessary for accessing low-lying work areas and performing assembly tasks close to the ground
  • Employees must have good visual acuity to inspect and ensure the quality of components and products. This may involve reading technical documents and operating machinery with precision
  • The role may require the ability to hear and respond to alarms, machinery sounds, and co-worker communication in a manufacturing environment
  • For tasks involving computer work or documentation, employees may be required to sit for extended periods
  • Exposure to Hazardous Materials: In some cases, employees may be exposed to chemicals or substances used in the manufacturing process. Proper safety protocols and personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided
