Job Overview

GaN is seeking a Telemetry Engineer to work with a multi-disciplined team that will design, build, integrate, test, verify, and validate complex test systems. The projects may include multiple long-range missile telemetry systems, large electro-mechanical systems, electro-optic equipment, software, models and simulations, instrumentation, and many types of electronics.

Responsibilities

• Develop, integrate, and operate multiple new telemetry systems
• Work with software team to automate telemetry set-up, tracking, data collection, and data extraction
• Working with team to decompose top level requirements into design-to requirements
• Mentoring the next generation of engineers as GaN grows

Qualifications

• Degree BS in Electrical Engineering or related technical field with five years’ experience. 

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience with missile ground telemetry set-up and operations
• Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills 
• Candidate must be personable and out-going
• Demonstrated ability to maintain professional demeanor at all times
• Dedicated to customer service, quality, and team building
• Must be self-motivated, self-directed, and able to work independently
• Ability to perform basic structural analysis 

Desired Skills

• Experience with one or more of the following” Quasonix Telemetry Receivers, Wideband Telemetry Recorders, Universal Switching Digital Matrix Switches, NetAcquire Telemetry Data Processors
• Test Equipment (Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers, Multimeters, Etc.)
• COMSEC
• White paper and proposal writing experience
• Familiarity with Missile Flight Testing 

Special Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen and successfully complete a U.S. government background investigation.
• Must have a Secret clearance or be capable of obtaining an interim Secret clearance
