Summary


The ideal candidate has exemplary interpersonal skills and a commitment to providing outstanding services. Butlers are adept at departmental operations and have a great concern for guest safety and security. A butler manages his/her work with integrity and abide by ethical, moral, and legal standards. Butlers are discreet and responsive to meeting the needs of their guests, demonstrating a behavior of willingness and dedication.

A butler primarily serves as a key point of contact for guests throughout the hotel. He/she should be well-versed with all services and facilities offered by the hotel and about the local vicinity.


Essential Functions


Job duties include, although are not limited to welcome and bid farewell to our guests in a professional and pleasant manner and to provide assistance during their stay.

Butlers are responsible for essential guest services and meeting productivity requirements in the following areas:

  1. General knowledge of The Boca Raton
  2. Administrative operations as needed
  3. All safety and emergency guidelines
  4. Taking care of all room guests and coordinating with all concerned departments to fulfil guest needs and requests
  5. Being knowledgeable about Room Service and the other outlets menu, as well as communicating with the kitchen regrading menu questions and product availability
  6. Being knowledgeable about housekeeping procedures and standards as well as being capable to assist Room Attendants
  7. Updating the hotel software with guest preferences, likes and dislikes on the guest profile section
  8. Following all the guest needs until they are completed to the total guest satisfaction
  9. Conducting the in room check in process in a fast and efficient manner, following all the standards and also communicating with bellman for luggage delivery
  10. Taking care of the guests request and communicating with the respective departments, laundry, wake up call, spa bookings, concierge and any special requests
  11. Performing software operations like check-ins/check-outs, update profile, room reservations, requests, applying payment, verifying and adjusting billing, and activating room keys
  12. Supporting the other departments such as Front Desk, Housekeeping and Room Service with their responsibilities

Internal Relationships


Reports to Housekeeping Manager and Director of Housekeeping

External Relationships


Has regular contact with Front Office Team, Maintenance, In Room Dining and Laundry Services

Qualifications


  1. Positive attitude and good communication skills, with excellent grooming standards
  2. Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service
  3. Flexibility to respond to a variety of different work situations and ability to work alone

Education/Experience Requirements


  1. Diploma or bachelor's degree in hotel management
  2. Proficiency in working with MS Office, Agilisys (POS) and Opera Cloud (PMS)
  3. 2+ years' experience at a five star or full-service hotel
  4. 3+ years' experience in F&B Service or Housekeeping a plus
