IT Technician - Structured Cabling Technician

We are now seeking an experienced individual with both IT and Structured Cable training who is highly motivated, wants a challenge and enjoys solving problems. Job Description:

• Install new IT related hardware/software, upgrade, and troubleshoot systems for hardware/software problems at the customer’s location.
• Design, install and maintain networks.
• Install and test Structured Cabling.
• Install and troubleshoot security – burglar alarm systems.
• Install and test surveillance and security cameras.
• Install Cat 6 cabling in new and existing construction.
• Terminate RJ 45 and fiber.
• Experience working with fiber a plus.
• Manage and organize network closets and cabling.
• Install network cabinets and hardware.
• Experience with VOIP phone systems.
• Report to On-Site service manager for additional jobs and responsibilities.
• Excellent at troubleshooting and uses prior knowledge of computers, alternate resources, and ingenuous problem-solving skills to find solutions for system problems.
• Able to provide advanced technical support over the phone.
• Proficient knowledge of the latest and upcoming technology.
• Knowledge of hardware limitations, compatibility issues, and system capabilities.

Education and Experience:

• 2 years related work experience
• BICSI certification preferred but not required'
