Caregiver

Job Summary:
Senior Helpers - Lafayette is seeking a full-time Caregiver to join our team of dedicated and compassionate healthcare professionals. This individual will be responsible for providing direct care services to elderly clients in their homes, in accordance with their individual care plans. The Caregiver will assist clients with activities of daily living, provide emotional support, and help maintain a safe and comfortable environment. This individual contributor role requires excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as a strong commitment to providing high-quality care.

Compensation & Benefits:
This is an hourly position with a compensation range of $10 to $12 per hour, paid biweekly. In addition to competitive pay, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional development and advancement.

Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care services to elderly clients in their homes
- Implement individual care plans and assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Monitor clients' health status and report any changes or concerns to the supervisor
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding when necessary
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Help maintain a clean and safe living environment
- Document care provided and client progress according to company policies and procedures
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals

Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a caregiving role, preferably with seniors
- Knowledge of basic caregiving skills and techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and follow care plans accurately
- Must pass a background check and drug test
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
