Job Details
Location: Millville, NJ
Shift: 6:00pm-6:00am, 2-2-3 schedule
Reports to: Production Supervisor

Job Summary
Operate VTIS (aseptic) equipment in the processing area in a safe and sanitary manner following all GMPs. Ensuring efficient and timely operations of aseptic processing. Cleaning the processing equipment which includes hand cleaning parts, clean-in-place (CIP) and clean out of place (COP) operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Communicate with operators, maintenance, delivery personnel, and all departments involved in the production process (e.g., distribution, packaging, scheduling)
  • Operate computer systems, machine equipment and/or running manual tasks to maintain safety, operational efficiency and quality of the product or goods handled
  • Know and properly execute established start-up and shut-down procedures
  • CIP of silos and line circuits. Take proper samples to monitor CIP system for chemical strengths
  • Must have the ability to troubleshoot problems and be able to react when issues require input from levels of authority within the company
  • Troubleshoot and quick response to process breakdowns is necessary
  • Cleaning and sanitation tasks (e.g., equipment sterilization, disposal of waste materials, general housekeeping, etc.)
  • Record process steps for production and CIP in process logbook. This information should be neat and legible for investigation purposes
  • Understanding, managing, and navigating the HMI for production
  • Accurately monitor and record crucial information on chart recorders as a critical step in the process
  • Pull product for sampling and testing when needed
  • Manage and understand the process to dispose of deviated/out of spec product
  • Provide break and lunch relief to co-workers in the area
  • Attend and participate in daily shift meetings
  • Uphold visual management of the work area
  • Follows and supports continuous improvement methodologies
  • Strict adherence to all safety, health, and environmental policies
  • Strict adherence to all GMP and food safety policies
  • Perform necessary preventive maintenance on equipment as needed
  • Report all equipment malfunctions and abnormalities to Maintenance Technicians for follow-up and repairs
  • Create and follow-up on work orders for area as needed
  • Completes all required training on time
  • Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations related to weights, measures and record keeping
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
  • Ability to read, speak, and write in English
  • Required to regularly lift up to 50lbs
  • Flexibility to work overtime and additional shifts based on business needs
