Merchandising Assistant

Madden’s is currently seeking a full time Merchandising Assistant who will prioritize merchandising strategies and tactics that are aligned with Maddens Standards selling plan.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The below merchandising responsibilities encompass the Pine Beach East & West Pro Shop, The Classic Pro Shop, and the Market:

• Assist merchandising plans, implements action steps, and adjusts plans based on progress towards goals.
• Ensure stock levels and presentations are appropriate for all seasons. Straighten, restock and remerchandise pro shops and MBM based on needs and communication with Buyer/Pro.
• ⎯ Sells and maintains golf shop and market merchandise while providing member and guest service.
• Assist with special orders upon guest request.
• ⎯Receives merchandise, prices merchandise, enters into POS system, and monitors inventory levels. Manage incoming deliveries by choosing which outlet they belong to and verify the actual shipped quantities match the packing slip/invoice copy.
• Works closely with the accounting office on account receivable and accounts payable issues. Code invoices with appropriate GL number, copy and file in correct vendor file, turn original into accounting.
• Work with Buyer/Pro to enter new items into either Agilysys or Info Genesis depending on venue, set retail prices factoring in shipping for complete costs, MSR, and competition.
• Price deliveries, working with Buyer/Pro, with correct stickers based on venue.
• Ensure stockrooms are kept organized so that items are easy to locate.
• Assist with follow-up on past due orders and that canceled orders are communicated timely.
• Other miscellaneous duties such as counting inventory to include sizes when necessary for reorders, alert Buyer of outages at MBM when necessary, etc.
• Transfer inventory as needed
• Be proficient in selling merchandise, checking in golfers, and making tee times at the golf shop desk when needed.
• Assist with buying and vendor meetings for future products and merchandise. 
• Occasionally Attend trade shows and markets to find and buy new products.
• Assist with Compiling and monitoring daily sales forecasting reports.
• Assist coordinate and communicate with Human Resources for the buying of any recruiting or employee items.
