Sanitation Supervisor - Full-time

Local Philo Dough manufacturing plant is searching for Sanitation supervisors.

 

Schedule - Mon - Fri  5pm-3am

Starting at $17 an hour 

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned. 1. Supervises and directs the activities of the Sanitation Worker functions.
2. Trains, assigns work to and schedules employees for cleaning duties and inspects work to ensure compliance with standards.
3. Maintains and updates MSS, SSOP’s and all other sanitation records.
4. Ensures conformance with proper manufacturing practices, OSHA standards, health code regulations and company safety policies.
5. Oversee the scheduling and cleaning of the flour silos.
6. Participates in all third party audits and coordinates corrective actions for all food safety audits in a timely manner.
7. Directs staff job results by hiring, coaching, training, counseling, and disciplining employees, and planning, monitoring and appraising job results.
8. Maintains paperwork for employees. (Attendance sheets, payroll change notices etc.)
9. Issues supplies and equipment to employees.
10. Makes requisitions for cleaning supplies and equipment.
11. Submits requests for repair of equipment.
12. Interacts professionally on a regular basis with staff, vendors and the general public.
13. Assumes additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed or directed.
14. May perform cleaning duties during staffing shortages.
15. Assists with development and implementation of internal controls, policies and procedures.
16. Completes daily pre-operational inspections in coordination of QA approval.
17. Responsible to report food safety, quality or food defense concerns to QA Manager.
18. Conforms and ensures compliance with all Safety, GMP’s, and Food Safety Policies.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS listed below are indicative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to be successful in this position.

 

Education, Training and/or Experience

 

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. 5 - 10 years food processing experience.
3. Minimum 3 years as a Sanitation supervisor
4. HACCP knowledge

1. Basic experience with Microsoft Office applications and uses of intranet and internet.
2. Developed problem solving, team building and staff development skills.
3. Ability to demonstrate a high attention to detail and good follow-up skills.
4. Ability to organize work, engage in a variety of tasks simultaneously and consistently meet deadlines.
5. Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as chemical labels, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
6. Moderate mechanical aptitude.
7. Ability to complete and pass Sanitation training courses.
8. High degree of initiative and independent judgment.
9. Ability to express self effectively and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
10. Must be self-motivated, proactive and solution focused.
11. Ability to tactfully and effectively deal with public and staff in a personable and professional manner.
12. Maintains a high level of energy and a consistent positive attitude.

1. Nature of work requires an ability to operate standard business office equipment and industrial cleaning equipment.
2. Requires walking, sitting, bending, and lifting up to 40 lbs. regularly and independently.
3. Majority of time spent standing to perform job duties.
4. Nature of work requires depth perception, normal vision, normal finger dexterity and ability to hear and communicate and exchange information at normal speaking levels.
5. May require occasional weekend hours as business needs demand.
