Overview

The Leasing Assistant, Retail Asset Services provides administrative support for the national retail leasing process, gathering market data, interacting with brokers, asset managers, operations staff, facilitating various landlord consents to subleases and assignments, and assisting in the preparation of leasing proposals.

Responsibilities
    Assist with gathering data in preparation for all new leases and renewals.
  • Maintain communications with existing and new tenants.
  • Assist the Senior Director and asset management department with monitoring vacancy and expirations. Complete reports as required.
  • Create and distribute leasing proposals as directed by the Senior Director or Vice President.
  • Receive and process all sublease, assignment, and Right of Entry (ROE) agreements, coordinating with the operations team as necessary.
  • Assist in the collection of market data and comps to maintain current Argus MLA's.
  • Provide support on various administrative tasks including report review, spreadsheet development/management, lease abstracts, tenant communications, expense reports, etc.
  • Maintain and promote relationships with brokers and stay informed of market conditions, trends, lease incentives, etc.
  • Assist with the development of the marketing budgets and work with brokers to create marketing materials.
  • Assist Vice President with acquisition and disposition efforts, including data gathering, site visits, inspections, and sales tours.
  • Provide assistance to the Retail Asset Services team as requested.
  • Assume additional responsibilities as delegated by the Senior Director.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures and demonstrate a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Act as a team member with all RMR employees, demonstrating initiative and leadership skills.
  • Become involved in industry groups specialized in brokerage and leasing of retail assets.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field.
  • Experience in commercial real estate working with lease documents a plus.
  • Salesperson's license a plus.
  • Travel required as necessary.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word.
  • Excellent organizational and follow-up skills, along with the ability to both multi-task and bring individual issues to timely closure.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and sustain cooperative working relationships.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, verbally and in writing.
  • Strong collaboration skills and attention to detail.
