This role will lead the development, design, and production of sales and marketing deliverables for California and teams companywide, including qualifications, proposals, presentations, and marketing campaigns. We are looking for a creative individual excited about developing high-impact content in support of our mission and business growth objectives. This position is connected with our operations in Northern California and will interface with professionals across the globe.

Responsibilities

Once here, you will:

    Lead the creative development, production, and coordination of multiple sales deliverables and RFQ/P responses (qualifications, proposals, presentations, marketing materials); balancing short-term priorities with long-term strategic plan tactics while ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Display an ability to tell stories: stories about clients, projects, people, and Gilbane, and incorporate these stories into content and graphics within sales deliverables that address the unique needs of each client.
  • Support the planning and implementation of local events, award submissions, and marketing campaigns to promote Gilbane's brand in the local market.
  • Collect, organize, and maintain a high volume of dynamic data for projects, team members, and market sectors.
  • Edit, resize, and touch up images and photography for print and digital use.
  • Assist in client research. The right candidate will possess a natural curiosity about the "why" and "how" of our work, and will jump at the chance to translate that information into winning sales strategies.
  • Develop a strong understanding of, and interest in, engaging in the communities in which we live and work.
  • Foster relationships to identify value-adds and project descriptions during interviews with project leads.
  • Work closely with the sales and marketing team, business development team, and operations partners.
  • Support the development of website content and digital communications.
  • Design high-quality materials in print and digital formats that reinforce Gilbane's brand.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will:

  • The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience and is looking for a position that will challenge their critical thinking and creative skillsets.
  • Be accountable and comfortable rolling up their sleeves. They are curious and highly organized, with strong attention to detail who and thrive on getting things done.
  • Communicate and work effectively both in-person and in a virtual team environment. They will be supporting pursuits across the West and nationwide requiring flexible work styles: supporting and coordinating with others and working independently.
  • Act inclusively, showing empathy and treating others with respect and dignity to uphold Gilbane's core value of Caring and a "People First" workplace culture.
  • Demonstrate strong time management and planning skills and excel in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
  • Bring a creative and design-centric mindset to look for ways to create graphics from words, helping our messaging stand out and reinforcing Gilbane's brand.
  • Identify opportunities for new and improved ways of doing things.
  • Have solid writing and editing capabilities focusing on storytelling and bringing technical data to life.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud with a focus on InDesign. Photoshop and Illustrator is a plus. Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, with a focus on Word and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in the following is an advantage: HubSpot, WordPress, Premiere Pro, and/or other video editing software.

Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.


For Sacramento, CA this ranges from $68,300.00 - $93,900.00 plus benefits and retirement program.

For San Jose, CA this ranges from $79,500.00 - $109,300.00 plus benefits and retirement program.
