Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Dosimetry Technical Lead to work in our Environment, Safety, Health and Quality department. Our team works a onsite 4x10 schedule located out of our Central Facilities, Idaho Falls, Idaho with every Friday off. You will report to the Instrument and Dosimetry Manager and you will provide expertise in assuring the RadCon program is implemented observing the requirements of 10 CFR 835, applicable DOE Orders and standards, the INL Radiological Control Manual, associated INL Radiological Control procedures and DOELAP requirements. Responsibilities Include:

  • Maintain the DOELAP accredited program and associated documentation in accordance with the terms of accreditation.
  • Approve and upload external dosimetry data from vendor and investigate suspicious data. Perform vendor audits.
  • Provide oversight and review of external dosimetry practices and procedures to assure correct implementation of proper practices across the Site.
  • Generate, review, and submit dose reports (REMS, Annual Letter and Personal Dose Histories).
  • Assist the Internal Dosimetry Technical Lead with the Nuclear Accident Dosimetry program; specifically, dosimeter component processing and FNAD/PNAD refurbishment.
  • Interact with technical network inside and outside of the company, evaluate and provide input to procedures to assure sound external dosimetry practices.
  • Lead, mentor technical staff across the RadCon organization in matters of External Dosimetry.
  • Maintain the extremity estimator program (interim read process).
Qualifications: Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelors in Health Physics or related science discipline plus 8 years experience or relevant Masters plus 6 years experience.
  • Dosimetry expertise.
