About the Position:

The Director, Corporate Security will be responsible for working closely with all Cologix markets throughout the US and Canada to ensure that Cologix physical security systems and objectives are aligned for new data centers and existing data center upgrades. This role will also entail oversight, procedures and training of physical security platforms, entry access systems, and video surveillance systems. The Director Corporate Security will work with all markets to meet and maintain compliance standards put forth by Cologix, including performing security training, yearly risk assessments, and managing security incidents that occur at each individual site.

What you do daily:

  • Develop corporate security policies, procedures, and initiatives to be followed by all markets.
  • Lead key personnel in each market to ensure successful implementation and understanding of new and current policies/procedures.
  • Responsible for security compliance across all market by having a direct role in reviewing and ensuring the completion of monthly SOC1, SOC2, PCI, HIPAA, and ISO27001 audit cases for each market.
  • Ensure all security systems continue to meet redundancy and retention requirements to match Compliance objectives.
  • Keep current on security technology, encompassing access control systems, biometric readers, video surveillance systems and cameras.
  • Maintain Corporate Security Basis of Design and update as new technology provides better performance or value.
  • Develop and manage upgrades to data center access control and video surveillance systems.
  • Contribute to new construction projects, ensuring that security hardware and software systems match the latest Basis of Design and layout meets Cologix Security standards.
  • Provide technical support to Operations and IT during Security hardware and software failures.
  • Complete annual physical security training and assess future training needs for the company.
  • Conduct security meetings with market leads and security personnel, to review and discuss security incidents, processes, upgrades, and other current Security topics.
  • Evaluate physical security failures monthly and review root causes to determine irreversible corrective of action when applicable.
  • Assist with annual risk assessments for each market, and document mitigation efforts.
  • Travel as needed to ensure implementation of local data center security programs.
  • Other duties as assigned by the VP of Data Center Operations

What makes you a good fit: (Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in a security-related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Ten or more years of Security systems experience or working in a critical infrastructure setting.
  • Experience maintaining aging Security NVR systems and migrating to new VMS platforms.
  • Experience with access control and video products from LenelS2, Milestone and Genetec a plus.
  • Self-motivated individual with the capacity to complete corporate tasks and objectives with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated history of developing and implementing security policies and procedures.
  • Knowledgeable of Data Center facility layouts, security operations, and security systems.
  • High level of trouble shooting and problem-solving skills with Security systems.
  • Proficient in multitasking, with the ability to work on multiple projects while still meeting deadlines.
  • Experience in telecommunications or working in a telecommunications environment a plus.
  • Ability to travel as needed (4-5 trips/year)

Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience. This position will also be eligible for an annual bonus.

Salary Range
$120,000-$140,000 USD
