Job Description
Primary Function:
Handle a portion of the Engineering functions related to customer orders or other projects as assigned, with limited supervision. The assignment may include any or all the following: Prepare mechanical drawings of Induction heating and/or melting equipment, or part manipulation machinery, using AutoCAD, from customer specification sheets, or from hand drawn sketches. Prepare bills of material, write reports, make calculations, assist with or perform field service, and prepare instruction manuals. Must also have a high degree of computer skills, and be proficient in AUTOCAD or Pro E/Solidworks. Good communication, organizational, leadership and teamwork skills, are also required. Experience in SmarTeam is an asset.
Secondary Function:
Upon assignment, may deal with vendors, be involved in Customer contact, assist in Field Service, training of less experienced personnel and other Engineering Department tasks.
Education and/or Experience:
- A college degree in Mechanical Engineering is required
