Essential duties and responsibilities

As the Payroll Specialist you are responsible for processing the Company payroll. This includes verifying employee’s work hours and payment through the payroll system.

• Maintain accurate payroll information
• Update payroll records by entering and approving changes to employee information
• Complete new site tax registration and proper GL mapping
• Complete necessary paperwork for garnishments and wage reporting
• Conduct audits on employee PTO, attendance, work permits, etc.
• Prepare and disseminate basic reports
• Resolve employee pay discrepancies
• Ensure compliance with all state, federal and local employment and labor laws
• Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• Some college preferred
• Previous payroll, bookkeeping,
• Strong computer and typing skills
• Excellent attention to detail with accurate data entry skills
• Ability to multi-task in a busy environment with strict deadlines
