Utility Operator

Summary: Typically works at a workbench or on a conveyer line, assembling minor products or components with routine and highly repetitive operations.

Job Description:

• Review documentation / work orders
• Set up machinery / processes in Tower, pay off and take up areas (assigned area)
• Operate machinery in assigned area
• Clean and reassemble machinery in assigned area
• Monitor controls, materials, and processes in assigned area
• Monitor quality of production
• Load / replace materials in assigned area
• Change out product and slice product for continued production
• Repair machinery and prepare components for machines in assigned area
• Coordinate other repairs with maintenance and engineering
• Operate power moving devices, change propane cylinders
• Communicate with supervisor
• Direct helpers
• Document processes
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications:

• Experience in the wire & cable industry a plus but not required
• HS degree required
• Read/use precision gauges and tools
• Perform shop math
• Read/follow written instructions
• Use a computer for simple tasks

Pay Details: $20.00 to $25.00 per hour
