Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
Location: Grove City, Ohio
Description: We are seeking a dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our school-based team in Grove City, OH. The RBT will work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement behavior intervention plans and support students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities in achieving their individual goals.
Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) designed by the BCBA to address target behaviors and skill deficits of students with ASD and other developmental disabilities
- Provide one-on-one and small group instruction to students to teach and reinforce adaptive skills, munication skills, social skills, and appropriate behavior
- Collect data on student progress and behavior using standardized assessment tools and behavior tracking systems
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to ensure consistency in implementing behavior strategies and supports across different settings (e.g., classroom, playground, cafeteria)
- Assist in the development and maintenance of a positive and supportive learning environment that promotes student engagement and success
- Participate in team meetings, trainings, and professional development activities to enhance knowledge and skills in behavior analysis and intervention techniques
Educational Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- pletion of 40-hour Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training program
Certifications:
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or other developmental disabilities
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and strategies
- Strong munication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students
