Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

Location: Grove City, Ohio

Description: We are seeking a dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our school-based team in Grove City, OH. The RBT will work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement behavior intervention plans and support students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities in achieving their individual goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) designed by the BCBA to address target behaviors and skill deficits of students with ASD and other developmental disabilities
  • Provide one-on-one and small group instruction to students to teach and reinforce adaptive skills, munication skills, social skills, and appropriate behavior
  • Collect data on student progress and behavior using standardized assessment tools and behavior tracking systems
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to ensure consistency in implementing behavior strategies and supports across different settings (e.g., classroom, playground, cafeteria)
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of a positive and supportive learning environment that promotes student engagement and success
  • Participate in team meetings, trainings, and professional development activities to enhance knowledge and skills in behavior analysis and intervention techniques

Educational Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • pletion of 40-hour Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training program

Certifications:

  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or other developmental disabilities
  • Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and strategies
  • Strong munication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students
