Mechanical Designer/Drafter

Summary:

Seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer with expertise in SolidWorks and GD&T for part-time work on a novel medical device.

Job Requirements:

• 5+ years of mechanical design experience with machined, casted, sheet metal, and/or plastic molded components.
• Strong GD&T skills as per ASME Y14.5.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks for modeling complex 3D systems and drafting components.
• Experience generating and managing BOM structures, ECRs, and documentation through a QMS.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in medical device mechanical design.
• Familiarity with cable drawings.

Job Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Engineering and Quality teams to capture design outputs for a novel medical device.
• Develop and manage documentation including CAD models, fabrication drawings, procedures, BOMs, and specifications.
• Build and manage an accurate 3D CAD model of a complex medical device.
• Generate and manage fabrication drawings for all device elements.
• Generate and manage specification documents.
• Manage all documents accurately within a Quality Management System (QMS).

Pay Details: $31.00 to $42.00 per hour
