Personal Lines Insurance Agent

Job Summary: We are looking for a motivated and client-focused Personal Lines Insurance Agent to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for generating new business, servicing existing clients, and providing personalized insurance solutions for home, auto, umbrella, and other personal lines of insurance.

Responsibilities:

• Sales and Business Development:
• Prospect and generate leads through networking, referrals, and marketing campaigns.
• Conduct thorough insurance policy reviews to assess clients' coverage needs and offer suitable insurance products.
• Quote and bind new policies while adhering to underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Client Relationship Management:
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients by providing exceptional customer service and personalized insurance advice.
• Address client inquiries, policy changes, claims, and billing issues promptly and professionally.
• Conduct annual policy reviews to ensure clients' coverage aligns with their evolving needs.
• Product Knowledge and Compliance:
• Stay informed about insurance products, coverage options, endorsements, and pricing strategies.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance regulations, compliance requirements, and industry trends.
• Collaborate with carriers and underwriters to negotiate terms, rates, and coverage enhancements for clients.
• Cross-selling and Referrals:
• Identify cross-selling opportunities to offer clients additional insurance products, such as life, health, or commercial insurance.
• Leverage client referrals and testimonials to expand the agency's client base and enhance reputation.
• Administrative Duties:
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation, including applications, endorsements, binders, and client communications.
• Utilize agency management systems to track client interactions, policy details, and sales activities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience; insurance-related certifications or licenses (e.g., Property & Casualty license) preferred.
• Proven sales experience in the insurance industry, with a focus on personal lines products.
• Strong understanding of insurance products, underwriting guidelines, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency in using insurance software (AMS360 preferred), CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
