Line Cooks

Job Summary:
Ocean Place Resort & Spa is seeking reliable and hardworking individuals to join our team as Line Cooks. As a part of our dynamic culinary team, Line Cooks will be responsible for preparing and cooking various menu items to the highest standards of quality, taste, and presentation. This is a part-time, hourly position in our hospitality/restaurant department, located in Long Branch, New Jersey. This is an individual contributor role, with opportunities for growth and advancement within the company.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with recipes and quality standards
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Ensure all food items are cooked to the appropriate temperature and visually appealing
- Assist in food preparation, such as chopping vegetables, portioning meats, and making sauces
- Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies
- Clean and maintain work area and equipment
- Communicate effectively with team members and chefs to ensure a smooth and timely service
- Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications
- Assist in food inventory and ordering when needed
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor or management team

Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience working as a Line Cook in a restaurant or hotel setting
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques and recipes
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining quality standards
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Culinary degree or certification is a plus
