PRIMARY PURPOSE: To contribute to customer satisfaction by preparing and serving high quality food products in accordance with the standards of the hotel.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepares all “hot” items for breakfast bar and/or restaurant in the prescribed manner and presents food in an attractive and appealing manner.
  • Ensures food in warmers maintains required temperatures
  • Prepares appropriate amount of food in accordance with hotel occupancy
  • Maintains amount and quality of food in warmers to Ensure that each customer will receive high quality food from the breakfast bar
  • Prepares and properly garnishes all food orders as they are received in accordance with menu specifications, ensuring proper plate presentation
  • Checks all coolers and storage areas for cleanliness, quantity, and quality of food products
  • Requisitions food with necessary approvals according to policy
  • Takes proper care of ranges, ovens, broilers, fryers, griddles, utensils and other equipment
  • Contributes to customer satisfaction by attending to restaurant customer needs
  • Informs host/hostess or manager of any customer dissatisfaction
  • Ensures that breakfast area/restaurant is in proper condition for arrival of customers
  • Verifies workstations are stocked, neat and orderly
  • Checks the overall condition of the dining room, insuring its readiness for customers
