Berglund Ford of Bedford is looking for an experienced Automotive Finance Manager. We are part of Berglund Automotive, a well-established and reputable automotive group with 10 locations, representing 20 different automotive brands throughout Southwest and Central Virginia.

Job Summary:

The Finance Manager presents finance options to customers during vehicle purchases and leverages opportunities to offer aftermarket products, service contracts, and insurance programs. The Finance Manager must maintain the highest ethical standards and commitment to overall customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow a proven comprehensive menu selling process to help maximize the finance department's overall profitability and product penetration.
  • Track portfolio with lenders.
  • Review and inspect the flow of the department’s paperwork daily to ensure a timely turnaround on all deals.
  • Demonstrate complete commitment to supporting the sales department in achieving its goals.
  • Be an example of professional morals, ethics, and excellent customer service.
  • Work closely with sales team on enforcement of proper selling methods.
  • Set and maintain finance department work schedule.
  • Abide by federal, state, and local regulations when preparing paperwork, finalizing financial transactions, setting interest rates, and working with lending institutions.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Prior finance manager (F&I) or automotive sales experience.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with customers.
  • Attention to detail and excellent closing skills are a must.
  • Basic MS Office knowledge and software proficiency needed.
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
