Job Description

Nat-Su Healthcare is seeking an outgoing, motivated and competent Physical Therapist to join our team on. You will be responsible for planning and administering physical therapy treatment plans designed to alleviate pain, restore function, prevent disabilities, and promote overall fitness and health of patients. Note that to be considered for this position, you need to be a licensed Physical Therapist with the State of Utah, as you will be responsible for the accurate diagnosis and treatment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides skilled physical therapy treatment plans in accordance with physician orders and by assessing and interpreting evaluations and test results of patients.
  • Assures continuation of therapeutic plan following discharge by designing home exercise programs; instructing patients, recommending and/or providing assistive equipment; recommending follow-up programs.
  • Promptly and thoroughly documents and maintains clinical and administrative records regarding patient limitations/interventions, treatments, responses and progress to administered therapy and discharge summaries.
  • Maintain patient records confidentially.
  • Records treatment charges daily and completes charge tickets in accurate and timely manner.
  • Complies with the Utah State Physical Therapy Act, codes and regulations.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Must be able to recognize and respond appropriately to urgent/emergent situations per protocols.
  • Maintain work area, exam rooms and supplies.
  • Maintain professional appearance and personal conduct at all times.
  • Follows all The Doctors Clinic policies and procedures.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, staff and management.
  • Keep regular clinic hours as approved by the Manager.
  • Attends meetings as requested.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Skills:

Education:

  • Graduate from an accredited physical therapy program.
  • Current Utah State Physical Therapist license.

Certification/Licensure:

  • CPR certification for Health Care Providers.

Experience:

  • One year as a Physical Therapist

Skills:

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of CPT & ICD-10 coding procedures.
  • Thorough knowledge of physical therapy principles and practices.
  • Working knowledge of computer programs.

Other Requirements:

  • Maintain current or obtain CPR certification.
  • Maintain current State of Utah license.
