We are currently recruiting a dayshift Technician Level II in our Secondary Operations department.
Our Tech II's conduct tooling set-ups, including tool installation with development activities supporting engineering on new product development projects, and machine preparation to support secondary operations activities. Aids in the troubleshooting and resolution of production problems and monitors product quality and process productivity.
Duties include:
- New product development (NPD) new tool and machine set-ups, including troubleshooting and adjusting to support engineering development projects. (35%)
- Set-up, troubleshoot and repair equipment (including replacing cutting tools, adjusting machine settings, and supporting automation) as needed. (25%)
- Support the maintenance systems and perform activities as needed. (10%)
- Work with maintenance and process engineering to troubleshoot and repair system failures. (10%)
- Collect and enter data as needed to support procedures and engineering tests. (4%)
- Interact with employees in a positive manner. (4%)
- Train employees on using technical equipment (Automation, CNC and other machines). (4%)
- Purchase supplies for the secondary operations department (cutters, fluids, gloves, etc.) (4%)
- Other duties as required. (4%)
Requirements:
- 5 years of previous, relevant experience.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
- Good communication and English skills (both verbal and written).
- General understanding of how the equipment works.
- Ability to handle tedious tasks.
- Ability to work with others and alone.
- Well organized with basic to moderate knowledge of computer and PLCs.
- Some college or special training in mechanics preferred.
- High level of mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to read and interpret documents (written in English) such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Computer application user including email.
Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts, 7:00 am to 5:30 pm, Wednesday-Saturday
