CNA Department Clerk

· The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) supports the Registered Nurse and Licensed Vocational Nurse in providing designated non-professional basic care services

· The Department Clerk performs a variety of unit-based clerical duties to include preparation, maintenance, and processing of patient records, relaying messages and patient requests to appropriate personnel, and greeting and assisting patients, visitors, and other personnel. 

1. Reports directly to the Acute/ Sub Acute Services Director of Nursing

2. Reports indirectly to the House Supervisor and other management covering the department. 

3. Directly functions under the oversight of the Unit RN

4. Collaborates with all members of the Health Care Team in the coordination of patient care.

1. Current CNA certification

2. BLS within one month of hire and on-going

3. Basic Computer knowledge

4. Ability to demonstrate communication and people skills, judgment, and decision making
