What you do:

The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) supports the Occupational Therapist. Under the direction of the Occupational Therapist, provides a broad range of occupational therapy services to help patients develop and improve their ability to complete everyday tasks related to their job and daily life. Demonstrates accountability for and contributes to program development, quality improvement, problem solving and productivity enhancement in a flexible interdisciplinary environment.

  • Contributes to interdisciplinary care plans.
  • Provides appropriate therapeutic interventions.
  • Helps patients take part in everyday activities based on their circumstances.
  • Encourages the patient during the recovery process.
  • With the help of the Occupational Therapist, evaluates patient response to treatment and adapts the treatment plan as necessary.
  • Documents the course of patient care including progress made and continuing need for treatment.
  • Contributes to the delivery of cost-effective care and more.

What you need:

  • Associate’s Degree in a rehab discipline (COTA)
  • Must hold applicable valid and unencumbered state license.
  • Must maintain current CPR certification
