Summary:

As a member of the IAAPA North America team, this team member is responsible for managing education programs offered virtually and in person. The Program Manager, Education will partner with the Director of Education and Membership and peers on the Education and Membership team to ensure quality education offerings that meet the expectations of IAAPA members. Programming supported by this team is inclusive of the IAAPA Expo Education Conference (130+ Learning Opportunities), Online Webinars, IAAPA Presents, IAAPA FEC Summit and IAAPA North America Summit. While input and tasks may be assigned across all programing, this team member will take the lead on the delivery of regional webinars and primary support of IAAPA FEC Summit and IAAPA North America Summit. The Program Manager, Education will serve as team liaison to assigned IAAPA committees and task forces supporting the efforts outlined in their work plans.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Produce 1-2 Webinars/Live Chats a month for IAAPA’s North American region. Responsibilities include education content selection, scheduling, coordinating speakers, engaging with IAAPA committees and task forces, conducting rehearsals, and completing housekeeping announcements on the webinar broadcast and moderating question and answer.
  • Partners collaboratively with subject matter experts to ensure education materials are relevant and accurate.
  • Manage resources, (people, materials, time) to ensure deliverables are completed in scope, on schedule and within budget.
  • Partners with team members across departments on efforts outlined in committee or task force work plans.
  • Promote IAAPA, including the association’s products, programs, services, and events to current and potential members.
  • Proactively stays informed of attractions industry trends.
  • Provide support as assigned for IAAPA Expo, IAAPA Presents, IAAPA FEC Summit and IAAPA North America Summit.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skill Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience within the attractions industry (amusement park, water park, zoo, aquarium, museum, science center, family entertainment center, supplier, or manufacturer) preferred.
  • Highly organized and proficient attention to detail.
  • Effective communicator of the written and spoken word.
  • Excellent problem-solving ability.
  • Possesses a growth mindset and continually looks for ways to improve.
  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft office.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proven experience prioritizing, completing, and balancing multiple, on-going high-profile projects.
  • Self-motivation and the ability to work with little supervision.
