Job Description

Will perform repairs and preventive maintenance on production and facility related equipment at the Springfield, MN facility.  Assist in new equipment builds and upgrades. 

SKILLS/JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Will perform electrical and mechanical repairs on equipment and facilities.
  • Will complete preventive maintenance tasks on equipment as needed.
  • Promote safe work practices by following company safety policies.
  • Assist in building new equipment, as well as upgrading existing equipment.
  • Maintain a clean work area and promote company 5S policies.
  • Identify root causes of maintenance downtime and implement corrective actions to prevent downtime.
  • Order repair parts for maintenance repairs to equipment and facilities.
  • Identify critical parts and make recommendations on additional spare parts inventory.
  • Must be self-motivated and proven strong leadership skills.
  • Must be safety conscious, quality minded, have good work habits and attendance.
  • Must follow safety and security practices.
  • Ability to adjust to multiple demands, shifting work priorities, adversity, and changes. Must be willing to work overtime as needed.
  • Must be willing to have a flexible work schedule that supports production and process improvements.
Qualifications

 

SKILLS/JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Five+ years as an industrial maintenance technician with good understanding of machine controls and design, as well as power distribution systems.

Excellent interpersonal skills, including verbal, written, electronic, etc. Must have working knowledge of National Electric Code, Must have working knowledge of Allen Bradley PLCs, ABB robotics & Fanuc CNC systems. Ability to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Proficient in Microsoft Office software products.  Must be self-motivated and proven strong leadership skills. Able to identify problems and implement corrective actions to prevent equipment downtime.  Must have excellent decision making and team motivational skills.
