The staff Veterinarian is responsible for ensuring high veterinary medical standards and quality of service across all our locations in shelter medicine, surgery, spay/neuter and wellness. Complies with all controlled substance laws and requirements. Ability to adapt to varying environments and patients, including shelter, foster, and publicly owned animals. We offer full-time, part-time and relief positions.

Schedule Requirements

Flexible schedule based on organizational needs and your availability. Eight-hour wellness shifts and ten-hour shelter/surgical shifts available depending on your skill level and interest. Positions available for full-time, part-time, and/or relief shifts at both our Colorado Springs and Pueblo locations.

Education/Experience Necessary

  • Graduated from an accredited veterinary medical college - DVM or equivalent.
  • Licensed to practice veterinary medicine in the State of Colorado.
  • Experience in high volume spay/neuter clinic and/or post-graduate surgical training a plus.
  • Demonstrated aptitude in clinical medicine and surgery.
  • Experience in animal welfare and shelter operations a plus.
  • Demonstrated success in working with a diverse team of professionals, skilled in managing varied relationships and successful at facilitating collaboration and cooperation.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
