Shipping Clerk/Driver

The Role

Doncasters Precision Castings is looking for a Truck Driver / Shipping Clerk to join our team.

In this position, the Driver/Clerk will:

Operate company owned/ leased vans and Box Trucks to facilitate shipping and receiving operations Operate trucks for the delivery, pickup and relocation of products and materials Perform required vehicle(s) before-, during-, and after-operation “user maintenance” and provide required reports Provide outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations Receive incoming materials, supplies, parts, and other items following established practice. Assist in unloading materials and supplies as necessary. Count, weigh, or otherwise check incoming items to assure correctness of shipment and compliance with accompanying traveling documents, purchase and shipping orders. Transport, or request transportation of shipments to designated departments, storage, or other areas. Notify supervisor of shortages, damages, or other discrepancies, and prepare all necessary substantiating reports. Transport materials to all departments to maintain established quotas; perform necessary loading and unloading operations. Perform stock room duties, maintain file cards, stocking, and storing parts and supplies, central purchasing order files, records of subcontracted orders, and all other reports or records as required; perform other associated duties as required. Detect and report defective or damaged material and unusual conditions to proper supervision. Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition. Follow prescribed safety regulations.
